A-Level Results 2018

West Midlands University Technical College was celebrating a 100% pass rate for its specialist technical qualifications today, with results a grade higher than the national average.

 

The new Wolverhampton School, which specialises in design, innovation and construction, had an average UCAS points score of over 101, equivalent to BCC. Over 40% of our Year 13 school leavers have got an Apprenticeship.

Principal Av Gill said: “We’re very pleased with today’s results, which follow on from a positive Ofsted inspection earlier this summer. A significant number of our pupils are going on to higher education and apprenticeships.

 

“We’re really proud of the achievements of all our students and wish them a very successful future. Our dedicated team of staff ensure each pupil fulfils his or her potential and I would like to thank them for their efforts.”

 

The UTC was supported today by the University of Wolverhampton, helping pupils secure places on its degree courses, and Juniper, a Wolverhampton-based organisation which supports young people in finding apprenticeships.
